Badge

Detailed Description

Badge is a professional reputation platform designed to transform the way professionals showcase their career credibility and get discovered by recruiters. At its core, Badge provides a unique Trust Score, which functions like a credit score but for your career. This score is generated from verified peer feedback, offering a reliable and transparent measure of your professional reputation. Unlike traditional resumes or LinkedIn endorsements, which can be biased or superficial, Badge’s Trust Score is built on authentic, anonymous, and named reviews from colleagues who have directly worked with you. This creates a portable professional reputation that follows you across jobs and industries, making it easier for recruiters to identify top talent based on real-world performance and peer validation. Key features of Badge include the Professional Trust Score, which aggregates feedback from verified peers to provide an objective and quantifiable measure of your career reliability and skills. The platform supports both anonymous and named colleague reviews, ensuring honest and constructive feedback while also allowing reviewers to choose their level of visibility. This dual approach enhances the credibility of reviews and protects the integrity of the feedback process. Additionally, Badge enables recruiter discovery by allowing hiring managers and recruiters to search and filter candidates based on their Trust Score, effectively flipping the traditional job application process. Instead of relying solely on keyword-matched resumes, recruiters can find candidates with proven reputations. Badge also emphasizes portability, meaning your professional reputation is not tied to a single company or role but travels with you throughout your career, providing continuous proof of your work ethic and accomplishments. Badge is ideal for professionals across industries who want to build and maintain a credible, verifiable professional reputation that stands out in competitive job markets. It is particularly useful for job seekers who want to differentiate themselves beyond traditional resumes and LinkedIn profiles, as well as for recruiters looking for reliable indicators of candidate quality. Use cases include early-career professionals seeking to establish credibility, mid-career individuals aiming to showcase consistent performance, and even senior professionals who want to validate their leadership and mentorship skills. Badge’s AI-powered review collection process simplifies gathering feedback by automatically identifying colleagues from your contacts, eliminating the awkwardness of soliciting reviews manually. Regarding pricing, Badge currently offers its core services for free, making it accessible to a wide range of users. This zero-cost entry point encourages professionals to start building their Trust Score without financial barriers. While the platform’s website does not explicitly mention premium plans or paid tiers, the free offering includes the essential features needed to create and leverage your professional reputation effectively. Compared to alternatives like LinkedIn endorsements or traditional references, Badge stands out by focusing on verified, peer-generated feedback that is both anonymous and named. LinkedIn endorsements tend to be public and often lack authenticity, as they are usually given by friends or reciprocal contacts rather than honest colleagues. Badge’s approach addresses this shortcoming by providing a more trustworthy and nuanced reputation metric. Additionally, unlike static resumes or references, Badge’s Trust Score is dynamic and continuously updated as you receive new reviews, offering a real-time reflection of your professional standing. However, some limitations to consider include the reliance on peer participation; the quality and quantity of your Trust Score depend on colleagues’ willingness to provide feedback. While Badge’s AI agent facilitates review collection, users still need to engage their network actively. Also, as a relatively new platform founded in 2025, Badge’s recruiter adoption and ecosystem size may be smaller compared to established professional networks, which could affect immediate visibility. Finally, while the Trust Score is a powerful tool, it should complement rather than replace traditional job application materials and networking efforts. In summary, Badge offers a groundbreaking way to quantify and showcase professional reputation through verified peer feedback. Its Trust Score system provides a credible, portable, and recruiter-friendly alternative to conventional career validation methods, making it a valuable tool for professionals aiming to accelerate their career growth and job discovery.
